Westmoreland County Community College Cuts Ribbon for New Science Innovation Center
The 18,500-square-foot center is an expansion of Science Hall which brings together all of the college's science programs.
Full StoryWestmoreland County Community College is conducting registration for 12-week credit classes which are scheduled to begin Thursday, September 5. Fall classes are held days and evenings at five locations in Westmoreland County and at centers in Fayette and Indiana counties as well as online.
Westmoreland County Community College is partnering with Fayette County Career and Technical Institute to offer a Culinary Quick Start program in Fayette County starting September 10.
Westmoreland County Community College will hold Xpress Enrollment Days on July 31 from 4-7 p.m. and August 3 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Youngwood campus and centers in Latrobe, Mt. Pleasant, New Kensington, Murrysville, Uniontown and Indiana.
There are hundreds of immediate openings for line and prep cooks in professional kitchens and this program prepares students for entry-level positions in the food service industry upon successful completion.
