Become a Westmoreland Student
Applying to Westmoreland is the first step in your Ambitious journey. Whether you are applying to a degree program, the police acacdemy or other programs like Nurse Aide, it's easy to get started.
When you click on the application link, you will need to first set up an account. It takes no time at all. Then you will select the application that best suits your journey. Each application is easy to complete and once you save your application and hit "submit" you are on your way. It's that easy!

Application Steps for Degree, Diploma or Certificate Credit Programs
Step 1 - Apply to Westmoreland
We recommend you meet with an admissions representative to review information about your desired academic program, the admission process, available scholarships and other helpful onboarding information. To schedule an appointment with one of our admissions representatives, please call our Information Center at 724-925-4000.
Step 2 - Apply for Financial Aid
Begin by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. Westmoreland's school code is 010176. See our Financial Aid page for additional information.
Step 3 - Obtain Official Transcripts & Test Scores
Have your high school transcript sent to Westmoreland. If you are transferring credits from another college, have official transcripts sent to us. If applicable, send GED scores, SAT or ACT scores to Westmoreland.

Step 4 - Meet With Your Pathways Advisor
Once steps 1-3 are complete and we have received your transcripts and test scores, you are invited to schedule your placement assessment and educational planning session with your pathways advisor. In some cases, academic skill checks will be administered.
Step 5 - Schedule Classes
The educational planning session will include a discussion of your life and career goals, an overview of academic programs and registration for courses in the upcoming semester.

We are currently holding Admission appointments by phone or ZOOM meeting. Please contact the Information Center at 724-925-4000 to set up an appointment. Admissions Walk-In Hours will resume August 2 on the following days and times:
- Mondays 1-3 p.m.
- Thursdays 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
*Please arrive 30 minutes prior to walk-in hours ending so we can accommodate you!
Starting September 7, all campus group tours will be held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Please call the Information Center at 724 925-4000 to reserve your spot to see our beautiful campus!
