Advancement and Community Engagement

Where Learning, Work, Creativity and Community Come Together

MADE @ Westmoreland Ribbon CuttingWestmoreland County Community College is more than a place to take classes, it’s a community resource designed to support learning at every stage, connect people to opportunity, and bring partners together around shared goals.

Through Advancement & Community Engagement, Westmoreland aligns learning, workforce training, community engagement, and philanthropy to create meaningful opportunities for students, partners, and the region. By coordinating these functions as a single unit, the college strengthens its ability to respond to workforce needs while expanding access and support for learners.

Continuing Education

Learn something new. Build momentum. Follow your curiosity.

Continuing Education offers short-term, flexible learning opportunities for learners of all ages, from youth programs and summer camps that spark early curiosity to adult courses that support personal enrichment, professional skill-building, and career exploration.

For many, it’s a starting point that leads to personal enrichment, professional skill-building, and turning interests into career opportunities. For others, it’s simply the joy of learning something new. Either way, Continuing Education is often where curiosity turns into confidence.

Workforce Development & Training

Skills for today’s jobs and tomorrow’s innovation.

Our workforce development programs are designed in close partnership with employers and industry. These short-term, job-focused trainings help individuals reskill, upskill, or transition into new careers quickly.

MADE @ Westmoreland (Makerspace)

Where ideas take shape.

MADE @ Westmoreland is a community makerspace that supports creativity, experimentation, and hands-on learning. Members use tools, technology, and shared space to bring ideas to life, whether for personal projects, professional growth, or exploration.

For some, making is a creative outlet. For others, it becomes a bridge to new skills, continuing education, or workforce opportunities. The makerspace is designed to support all of those paths.

First Responder Training

The Public Safety Training Center offers a variety of programs focused on first responders. The PSTC offers a wide range of courses that can help improve your skill set. From firefighting to EMT, the PSTC is an elite training facility. Check out the available classes or contact Marc Jackson, PSTC Director about a custom program for your organization.
