Health Related Information for Students, Staff and Faculty - 9/2/2026
On Monday, August 24, you were informed via email about a confirmed case of measles involving an individual who was at the Youngwood campus College Store located in the Student Achievement Center (SAC). In order to ensure a healthy environment for all, especially with flu season around the corner, the college has implemented enhanced cleaning processes using highly effective disinfectant cleaning products.
In addition, during this year’s annual on-site vaccine clinic, the college is partnering with a local pharmacy to include the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine to students, staff and faculty. The on-site vaccination clinic will be held on Wednesday, October 7 from 12:30 - 2:00 PM at the Events Center in the Student Achievement Center at Youngwood. Additional information will be shared soon.
If you are unsure of your vaccination status, you can reach out to the Department of Health (DOH) in the state in which you were born or received previous vaccinations. You can also contact your current primary care physician.
Additionally, please feel free to review the HEALTH page on our website. The page will host updates provided by the DOH for colleges and universities as well as information for our on-site vaccination clinic date. We are also working on a Frequently Asked Questions section to address general questions related to measles.
