Building Connections: An Inauguration Journey
Westmoreland County Community College is proud to celebrate an historic milestone
on Friday, April 24, 2026 with the inauguration of our eighth president, Dr. Kristin
L. Mallory. Students, staff, faculty, community and statewide leaders will come together
at the Youngwood Campus to highlight Dr. Mallory’s vision for the college and bolster
the role the college plays in the lives of those who live and work in the communities
served by the campus and the seven centers across three counties in Pennsylvania.
The ceremony will be held in the Student Achievement Center gymnasium at the Youngwood campus. College leadership, local dignitaries and other special guests will reflect on the accomplishments of the last 55 years for the college and future plans put forth by Dr. Mallory in the first year of her presidency.
The celebration has already begun with activities among students, staff and faculty that highlight community involvement, volunteerism and other activities that carry forth the strategic plans of achievement.
Under Dr. Mallory’s leadership, Westmoreland is committed to the mission of driving student success, developing a skilled workforce and strengthening communities through education. By building connections, Dr. Mallory will launch an exciting new chapter for Westmoreland, the region, the state and the entire education community.
